$RUNE is The Mallard Order's utility token used in our ecosystem.

The Mallard Order secretly draws much of its power from small stones with glyph symbols engraved onto them known as a $RUNE. Simply by clutching a $RUNE within a Mallard's grasp they can attune themselves to it and gain its power.\

**$RUNE is The Mallard Order's utility token**. It is what powers The Mallard Order's ecosystem within The Crypt.

# Tokenomics

*$RUNE is created with a starting supply of zero. There Is no initial distribution.*

## **Max Supply**

The maximum supply is **55,500,000 $RUNE**\
\
**There will be 3 halving periods. Each halving will reduce $RUNE staking rewards by 50%.** \
\
First Halving 50% of total supply mined - (27,750,000)\
Second Halving 75% of total supply mined (41, 625, 000) \
Third Halving 87.5% of total supply mined (48,562,000)

## **Staking Rates**

### **Mallards:**

Each Mallard NFT you stake will be able to mine **5 $RUNE per day.**

You must stake your Mallard NFT to a Smart Contract and thus will no longer hold it in your wallet. You can un-stake at any point but will stop earning rewards if you do so.

You are able to claim your $RUNE at any point, including daily.&#x20;

### Invitation Letters:&#x20;

Each Invitation Letter you stake will be able to mine **25 $RUNE per day.**

You must stake your Invitation Letter NFT to a Smart Contract and thus will no longer hold it in your wallet. You can un-stake at any point but will stop earning rewards if you do so.

You are able to claim your $RUNE at any point, including daily.&#x20;

### Relics:&#x20;

Each Relic you stake will be able to mine **1.5 $RUNE per day**

### Traits Bonus :&#x20;

Staking a Mallard with special traits will mine bonus $RUNE when staking. **See the chart below to for each Traits bonus.**

Staking multiple Invitation Letters will mine bonus $RUNE when staking. (not yet implemented)

Staking Mallards with complete Schools of Thought will multiply your overall daily $RUNE rewards. -This bonus has a maximum multiplier achieved by having 5 completed Schools of Thought. (this feature has not been implemented yet)\

# Utility

$RUNE will have various use case within The Mallard Order's ecosystem.

1. Mint specific new collections from The Mallard Order with $RUNE.
2. You will be able to enter exclusive Bluechip Raffles by purchasing tickets with $RUNE using our dashboard on Mutant Labs.
3. Buy specific items in our official Merch store only purchasable with $RUNE.&#x20;
4. Enter WL raffles for upcoming mints with $RUNE.
5. Ancient Relics will be purchasable with $RUNE. *\*Initial supply of the Ancient Relics will be airdropped to Invitation holders the remaining will be purchasable in $RUNE.*\

# Staking

:white\_check\_mark: **Step-by-Step Guide to Stake Your Assets**

1. Connect Your Wallet\
   Go to <https://stake.mallardorder.io.\\>
   Click “Login” and connect your Cardano-native wallet (Eternl, Nami, Flint, Tokeo, Vespr etc.).
2. Create a New Stake\
   Click the “Create New Stake” button. This begins the process of bundling your Mallard Order NFTs into a staking batch.
3. Select Your Assets\
   Choose the Mallard Order NFTs you want to stake — these include Mallards, Relics, Invitation Letters, and more.

:rotating\_light: **Important Tips:**

You can now stake up to 100 assets per stake (previous limit was 50).

To stake a small fee is required, make sure to try to get all of your assets into the least transactions possible.

It’s best to stake as many assets as you can in one batch to save on fees and reduce chances of on-chain errors.

The system uses multiple “boxes” or “squares” to represent each stake batch visually. This is just for UI clarity — all batches earn $RUNE correctly.\

\*\*:mag: Bonuses & Special Rules\*\*\
Invitation Letters Bonus:\
Stake up to 20 Invitation Letters in a single batch to earn up to 60% bonus rewards.\
Bonus applies only to the stake that contains the letters — for now.

**School of Thought Bonus:**\
To receive this bonus, you must stake a full set of School of Thought NFTs within the same stake (not split across batches).\
This bonus is tied to future rev-share and utility.

$RUNE Rewards: Rewards may take 1–2 days to start showing in the UI after initial staking. This is normal while the system syncs.

V2 Upgrade: When $RUNE V2 launches (expected \~2 months), you’ll be able to dynamically swap from V1 to V2, and liquidity will be added.
